(G7128) M6 Bomb Service Truck
The Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton 4x4 Bomb Service Truck (G7128) was part of the G506 series of 1 1/2 ton trucks built by Chevrolet in large numbers during World War II. The G7128 was also referred to as the M6 Bomb Service Truck, normally used on airfields and ammunition dumps. The M6 Bomb Service Truck would tow the M5 bomb trailer, in strings up to five at a time. The G7128 has a wheel base of 125 inches, shorter than the other G506 series trucks.
Behind the soft-top driver's cab was a working area with troop seats. A monorail crane extended the full length plus an overhand. A hoist was provided to lift and move the ordnance.
